Some more show stuff finished!

I’m finishing up some last minute items to take to my show this weekend.  I will be loading the truck in the morning and heading out to Dubuque, IA.  I will set up my booth in the afternoon and then spend the night at my girlfriends – she is going to help me at the show on Saturday – always a good time when we get toghether!!

These are a set of 6 paper mache eggs that have been painted, vintage image applied and antiqued. All packed in their little egg crate.

Here's a closer image of the vintage eggs.

Sets of carrot bunches and strawberry crates. I think they turned out adorable!

My flock of sheep!

I’ll be sure to post some pics of the show when I get back!

WOW, it’s been a long time since I posted!  I need to start packing all my “Kreations” for my show this weekend – I’m running out of room on my shelves!!  I have some pics to share with you before I get everything packed in the boxes.

These bunnies with their baby shoes are always a good seller for me.

Since my Scarecrow & Snowman Door/Wall hangings sold so well - I designed a bunny head.

Bowl fillers - bunny head and chennile eggs.

More bowl fillers and ornaments for your "Easter Tree". Packages of Peeps, pastel candy canes, hanging carrots & eggs.

These are from my Sparkle Bunny pattern. I made them holding a pinwheel and flowers instead of eggs so that they can be left out longer.

I have always made this bunny out of plush felt, but this year I used this "fluffy" fabric I had. I LOVE the way they look!!! Found some really cute eggs picks and buttons from the scrapbook dept. to decorate them.

This is why I have to start packing!!! My shelves are full and it has expanded to a 6' banquet table and all over the floor!!

I am finally posting some pics of what I have been working on for my upcoming Spring shows.  I hope you like them!!

Large chenille bunny with old quilt pocket filled with garden goodies!

I made this bunny shelf sitter last year and they sold very well. This year I changed the nose - and I like it better!

These bunnies are all getting finished this afternoon. Their clothes are all made . . . just have to get them dressed and decorated!

Bunny heads on antique quill bobbins in distressed clay pots.

Some garden .... some Eastery.

I will post again when I get some more things finished up.  I have bowl fillers, ornaments and pillows in the works!!

January 6, 2012

Well it’s been a while since I posted last!!!  It was a CRAZY busy holiday season.  My craft shows were a success – as was the store in Coral Ridge Mall in Iowa City!!!

Here are some photos of my last couple of Christmas shows.

A few minutes after the doors opened the booth was full of shoppers!!

Shoppers arms were full of "Kreations"!

Snowmen and pillows.

Snowmen, snowmen, snowmen . . . .

These tricycles were a spring item I found on clearance. I designed a Santa to fit - and they were a HUGE hit!!

That's me behind the pay-station table.

Last Fall show is over!  Here are a few pics of my show this past weekend at UNI in Cedar Falls, IA.  The show went well, LOTS of people on Saturday, Sunday was a little slower.  Now all the left over Halloween & Fall merchandise gets packed up – and I’m on to making Christmas.  My first “winter” show is less than a month away!!  I really need to get busy!!

I only had 1 1/2 spaces at this show - so the booth looked really full in the beginning.

Fall show in Des Moines, IA. Here are some pics of the booth ready for shoppers. The show turned out well. I will be at the UNI show in Cedar Falls, IA on Oct. 15th & 16th.

Center display.

I had a corner booth and was able to hang items on the back of the rack.
Witches and Scarecrows waiting for new homes.

My friend Karen that travels with me to some of the shows. She had never done craft shows before I recuited her into helping me - but she has really proven to be "WONDERFUL!!!" She always seems to know what will sell!!

September 1, 2011

Been busy today!!

It was hot today here in Iowa – upper 90′s – and very sunny.  Perfect day for things to dry outside!!  Here are 10 pumpkins with ghosts drying.

Here are 24 pairs of witch boots drying and 13 long hanging witch boots.

These buzzards turned out soooo cute!!  I only made 2, but my husband & son said I needed to make more – so I have 6 more in the works!

Here are some of the things I finished up today.  I got 5 of the large pumpkins with the scarecrows in them done, several of the pumpkin witches, and 20 of the little hanging pumpkin heads.

It was a productive day.  Back at it tomorrow!

Welcome to my blog!

As many of you know, in addition to creating patterns I also make and sell crafts at craft shows and in stores during the holiday season.  This gives me the opportunity to create additional items other than wallhangings & pillows.

I am getting ready for a three day show the end of September in Des Moines, Iowa and have been busy making witches, scarecrows, ghosts & pumpkins.

"naked" witch bodies

Here are 6 different witches in progress, a few have pants – others are “naked”!  Their dresses are all cut out and ready to be sewn.  I like to work in a assembly line fashion, I make all the bodies, then the clothes, and then dress and embellish them.

Scarecrows, draculas, cats, & pumpkin guys

Here are more bodies I have waiting to be finished.  I better get busy making clothes or they will be cold!

Large pumpkins

These pumpkins are big!  Some will end up with ghosts coming out the top decorated with bats & spiders.  Others will have scarecrows out the top and some will have a large witch hat on the top.

I will be sure to post pics again when these items are all finished.  Until then, back to work!!
